Kite Surfing Noosa:

My name is Mike Burrell and for the last 10 years I have been working on, in or under the water, teaching diving, sailing and kiteboarding. I have found myself in many amazing locations, always searching for the best spot to chase my passion. Noosa has captivated me with its capability to offer such a diverse range of activities in one spot - something I haven't been able to find anywhere else.

I am an avid sailor, and own Noosa Beach Sailing, the beach catamarans, but due to the satisfaction of teaching people the wonders of kite surfing, I decided to start this school.

I have taught kiting in many locations and under many different guises; from teaching one to one, to teaching groups of four, to managing a school that catered for up to twenty kite surfing lessons a day.

From all this I have learnt that kite surfing can only be taught properly on a one to one basis. Due to rising popularity there is increasing pressure on schools and instructors to teach groups of up to 6!!! Not only does this put instructors under unnecessary stress, it severely impacts on the safety of the student and their learning curve. Lets face it - you don't learn to kite by standing around watching other people.

So this means that Noosa Kiteboarding School is able to tailor each lesson to suit YOU! And you learn at a pace just right for you. And to make things even better, we also use the best gear available and the latest in radio helmet communication. This makes learning to kite surf safe, easy and rewarding.

At Noosa Kiteboarding we offer lessons for all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced rider. We will also help you choose the right equipment, and even after your lessons are finished, we are more than happy to provide you with any advice you may need, at any time.

Dont forget the free safety clinic coming this sat, 27th of Sep. Noosa Kiteboarding is joining forces with Adventure Sports to help promote safety within the kitesurfing community and answer any of those questions you have been thinking of for longer than you can remember.

Noosa Kiteboarding will be receiving its brand new kites for the school next week and Mikey will be forced to go test them out in all conditions to make sure they function properly of course.
