Kite Surfing Noosa

Location

Learning to Kite surf in Australia, gives you the opportunity to learn in a variety of different locations, each with a unique set of challenges. Whether you want to stick to flat water, open surf beaches or go kiteboarding in lakes, river mouths, estuaries, harbours or remote islands on the Great Barrier Reef. Australia has it all.

Queensland has been one of the premier kite surfing destinations for some time due to our large coastline, which allows you to follow the wind patterns all year. In South East Queensland the season for learning to kiteboard runs from early September through to Easter. When the winds start to drop off and the cold sets in, just pack your bags and head north to the tropics for the winter trade wind season.

Noosa Kiteboarding teaches people how to kite in one of the world’s most stunning locations. We have access to a river mouth that provides us with butter smooth water and steady winds. This enables students to progress easily through those first few hours.

If the winds are not right for the river mouth we have access to 20km of open beaches and a shallow inland lake.

In Noosa, Sunshine Coast, we are blessed with 2 wind seasons. The first being the Northeast sea breezes that occur in spring and the beginning of summer. Around Christmas when everything is heating up the good old southeast winds start arriving.

So when it comes to Location to learn to Kite surf in Australia, come to Queensland, Sunshine Coast, and Noosa.
